8th Annual Chicago Sickle Cell Summit

The Chicago Sickle Cell Summit is a virtual event sponsored by the UI Health Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. It is planned and organized by the patients, with input from the department. The summit aims to unite physicians, researchers, and people living and/or impacted by sickle cell disease in and around the Chicagoland area.
This year’s topic will be Double Whammy – Managing Comorbidities with Sickle Cell Disease, with Dr. Kyle Jeannette of the Department of Psychiatry as the keynote speaker. The panel discussion will feature Rev Horace Smith, Fisayo Awoniyi, and Tanya Anderson.
