Visitor Guidelines

(Updated August 19, 2025)

Visitation guidelines have been modified to enhance patient visitation while preserving the health and safety measures for our patients, visitors, and staff. We will continue to evaluate and adjust our visitors' policy with the guidance of our infectious disease experts, as well as our city and State public health officials.

General patient visitation

For the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff, UI Health implemented a visitor management system. All visitors visiting the hospital building are asked to provide a government-issued photo ID to receive a visitor pass when visiting for inpatient, outpatient, or non-clinical visits. Your picture will be taken at the concierge desk when you arrive, which will appear on your visitor badge.
