Ventricular Arrhythmias (VT/V-tach)

UI Health offers a full line of diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients presenting with life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. From implantation of implantable-cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) to catheter ablation of ventricular premature beats or tachycardia, we have the expertise to provide successful treatment, improving patients’ quality of life and survival. During catheter ablation, advanced 3-dimensional mapping systems are used to complete the procedure. We offer endocardial as well as epicardial ablation depending on the underlying disease process. Epicardial ablation is often necessary in patients presenting with ventricular tachycardia due to arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C) or dilated cardiomyopathy.

Our Ventricular Arrhythmia Clinic specializes in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) as well as ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF), two potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disorders. Led by a team of expert cardiologists and electrophysiologists, we use advanced diagnostic tools and cutting-edge therapies to tailor personalized care plans for each patient. Whether through medication, catheter ablation, or implantable devices, our clinic is dedicated to restoring heart health and improving the quality of life for those living with these conditions. Trust us to provide the highest standard of care in managing and treating VT and VF.
